Videography

Since graduating from Penn State’s film program in 2005, I have shot and edited many film projects across the DC area. Some clients have included the American Running Association, Washington City Paper, Hewlett-Packard, and Pulte Homes. I am also Apple certified in Final Cut Pro 7. Below is a sampling of just some of the various video projects.

If you are interested in having an event/concert/project/wedding filmed, please feel free to drop me a line at jason@somemightsaymedia.com. My rates are more than affordable when compared to local production houses and I can provide finished projects on DVD (with professional packaging if needed) as well as a variety of web-based formats for your Web site.

Although I am not a freelance photographer for hire, I do pursue photography as a hobby, and if you are interested, please take a look at some of my work here.

This is a wedding highlights film I shot in Arlington, VA with a mix of a Canon XA10 and Nikon D7000 and edited with FCPX and Motion 5.

This is a promotional video for the Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair, put on by the Washington City Paper and held in Adams Morgan on Oct. 2, 2010.

This is a promotional video made for a non-profit related to the Library of Congress dedicated to expanding educators’ use of the LOC’s digital resources.

This is the July 2008 promo video I did for a monthly event in D.C. called X. Each month, three graphic artists are brought together in a friendly design competition. Additionally, various creative minds from throughout the metro area gather to watch them do their work, promote their own, or just chill out and enjoy the ambience and live performances. For more info, visit xculture.tv.

This is a short promotional video for the American Running Association about the 2010 Battle of the Potomac event, which pits the top high school runners from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and DC against one another.

A time lapse video of a D.C. sunset. It’s not perfect (shot through glass in a high-rise building), but still pretty cool.

Here is a promo video I shot and produced for Pulte Homes to highlight an up and coming neighborhood in Hyattsville, MD. The video was shot with a Nikon D7000 and edited with Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5.
